Japeth Mennes
A graduate of painting and print making, the work of Japeth Mennes is refreshingly direct, unassuming and simple. Mennes lives and works in Chicago, where he produces his often experimental visual art. His work provides an ability to witness a narrative of experimentation of an artist who claims that his work often develops into chaos beyond his intentions.
The components and ingredients that comprise Japeth’s work are all identifiable, as he wishes to reveal the full progression to the viewer, allowing the work to speak for itself. Mennes has exhibited extensively across the USA, with both group and solo shows in New York, Kansas City and Chicago.
