Greg Gorman is an American portrait photographer of Hollywood celebrities and his work documents that peculiar obsession of the 21st century: the celebrity. Among many famous faces, Greg Gorman has photographed Andy Warhol, Al Pacino, Kevin Costner, Sylvester Stallone, David Bowie, Mickey Rourke, David Hockney, Raquel Welch, Kim Basinger, Tony Ward, Josh Duhamel, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Arnold Schwarzenneger and Sophia Loren. Greg Gorman is also well known for his bestselling books such as In Their Youth: Early Portraits, Inside Life, Perspectives, Just Between Us and As I See It.
For over two decades Greg Gorman has mastered the art of photography. From personality portraits and advertising campaigns to magazine layouts and fine art work, Greg Gorman has developed and showcased a discriminating and unique style in his profession. Gorman's nudes are famous for their classic form and stark beauty, and infamous for their bold eroticism.
Greg Gorman’s work has been seen in international magazine features and covers, including Esquire, GQ, Interview, Life, Vogue, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Time, Vanity Fair, and the London Sunday Times. In recent years Greg Gorman has expanded his talents to include the advertising field and has worked for companies such as Reebok, Maybelline, Kawasaki and Fortune Magazine.
Greg Gorman has developed and showcased a discriminating, unique style and received national acclaim for his film posters for Dances with Wolves, Terminator 2, Total Recall, Field of Dreams, Moonstruck, The Big Chill and Last of the Mohicans. In addition, he has directed the music video Love on Top of Love for Grace Jones.
