Emily Robson is a recent graduate from Newcastle University and has previously studied at the Wimbledon School of Art. Traditionally figurative and working with patterned fabrics, Robson surrounds the female figure as if the fabric is growing around her. The scenes Emily Robson creates are dreamlike, with undertones of voyeurism. The artist does not crave you to decipher deep intellectual meanings in her work, her thoughts are simple and clean; who is watching and who is being watched in her paintings?
