Dennis Stock

The works of Magnum photographer Dennis Stock cover a lot of ground: from superbly evocative images of Hollywood movie stars to smoky portraits of jazz musicians, from reportage studies of American biker gangs to romantic Paris street scences.
Although he recently described himself as a 'colour essayist', creating glorious, semi-abstrace landscapes, he will always be remembered as the man who shot Times Square the defining image of James Dean and disaffected youth.
